Actor Kim Seon-ho to return to the stage in 'Touching the Void' on July 8
Actor Kim Seon-ho will return to the stage in the play “Touching the Void” on July 8, The Best Plays said Friday.
The Best Plays is a local firm that specializes in organizing theater and performances.
“Touching the Void” is based on the 1988 book of the same title, written by British author Joe Simpson. It recounts the story of when Simpson and fellow British mountaineer Simon Yates almost fell to their deaths after climbing the Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes.
Kim will play the role of Joe.
Kim has kept out of the spotlight since October last year, when he was accused of pressuring his ex-girlfriend to get an abortion via an anonymous online post allegedly written by her. Kim was fired from most advertisements and television shows, but later on his acquaintances stepped in to provide evidence to prove the allegations were untrue.
Kim, who has been more active as a theater actor, gained recognition after taking a lead role in tvN's hit television drama series “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” (2021). He debuted as a theater actor in 2009 with "New Boeing Boeing."
