Kim Hyun-joong releases third full-length album 'My Sun'
Singer Kim Hyun-joong released his third full-length album “My Sun” on Monday, according to his agency Henecia.
“My Sun” is themed after the life of Michael Collins, the American astronaut who flew around the moon in 1969. The album sings about various emotions the astronaut would have felt after returning to Earth, with Kim’s own twist.
The lead track of the album runs for over six minutes and centers around how precious family, friends and fans are to Kim’s life.
Another track “Take me Home” is a Korean version of Kim's Japanese single released in 2020, which sings about a child who grows to learn the weight of life observing his father. The album also features more soft rock and retro numbers. Kim participated in songwriting and producing.
The singer will also host a concert titled “My Sun” on March 4 at the Yes24 Live Hall in eastern Seoul and meet fans to celebrate the release.
Kim debuted in 2005 as a member of boy band SS501 and rose to stardom through a lead role in the hit KBS series “Boys Over Flowers” (2009).
