Kim Soo-hyun to star in upcoming melodrama 'Queen of Tears'
Actor Kim Soo-hyun will return to the small screen in a melodrama titled “Queen of Tears” (translated) next year.
Kim confirmed his appearance in “Queen of Tears” Monday, according to his agency Gold Medalist.
“Queen of Tears” will be written by screenwriter Park Ji-eun, who wrote “My Love From the Star” (2013-2013), also in which Kim starred, “The Legend of the Blue Sea” (2016) and “Crash Landing on You” (2019-2020).
Kim will play the role of Baek Hyun-woo, a legal director of the conglomerate Queens Group. He will star alongside Kim Ji-won, who will play his wife, and will deliver a story of “a love like a miracle,” according to his agency Gold Medalist.
"Queen of Tears" will begin filming next year. The broadcaster of the drama series has not yet been decided.
Kim debuted in 2007 in MBC’s “Kimchi Cheese Smile” and rose to stardom through the popular TV series “Moon Embracing the Sun” (2012), “My Love from the Star” and “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” (2020).
