Actor Kim Ji-hoon lands first U.S. role in Amazon's 'Butterfly'
Actor Kim Ji-hoon will appear in Amazon Prime’s upcoming series “Butterfly,” marking his acting debut in the United States.
“Butterfly” is an action series starring Korean American actor Daniel Dae Kim who plays David Jung, a former U.S. intelligence operative living in Korea. Reina Hardesty also stars in the show as a sociopathic young agent named Rebecca who chases David down.
Actors Kim Tae-hee and Park Hae-soo are also set to star in the series. “Butterfly” will also be the two actors’ first roles in a U.S. production.
The roles of the three Korean actors have not been confirmed yet.
The series is based on a graphic novel of the same name created by Arash Amel and will include six episodes. The release date has yet to be announced.
Kim debuted in 2002 in the KBS2 drama “Loving You.” He is known for his leading roles in the Netflix film "Ballerina" (2023), MBC drama “Jang Bo Ri is Here!” (2014) and in Netflix series “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” (2022) and “Love to Hate You” (2023).
