Billlie to drop first Japanese EP in February
Billlie will drop the girl group's first Japanese EP, "Knock-on Effect," on Feb. 7, its agency Mystic Story said Tuesday.
"Knock-on Effect" will be the group's first Japanese release in nine months since its Japanese debut single "GingaMingaYo (the strange world) – Japanese ver.-" dropped on May 17.
The album consists of five tracks. The lead track will be "Domino ~ butterfly effect – Japanese ver. –," along with four B-side tracks which are Japanese versions of its previous Korean releases: "Dang (hocus pocus)," "BYOB (bring your own best friend)," "Ring ma Bell (what a wonderful world)" and "GingaMingaYo (the strange world)."
Preorders for the upcoming Japanese album began Friday.
The group is also set to hold two shows, titled "Billlie Show-Con' Domino Effect' in Japan," on Feb. 9 in Tokyo and Feb. 11 in Osaka, following its first Japanese EP release.
Billlie debuted in October 2021 under Mystic Story as a seven-member girl group with Moon Sua, Suhyeon, Haram, Tsuki, Siyoon, Haruna and Sheon. It's known for "GingaMingaYo (the strange world)" (2022). The girl group recently dropped a new song dedicated to its fan club Belllie've, titled "the soul savior ~ I don't need a superman," in November. The group is currently short of two members — Suhyeon and Moon Sua — as the two paused their group activities due to health reasons.
