Ichillin’s Chowon struck in back of head by baseball at KBO game
Ichillin’s Chowon will take a break from group activities after being hit by a foul ball at a baseball game on Tuesday.
Girl group Ichillin’ attended the Kiwoom Heroes’ game on Tuesday, held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in western Seoul. Member Yeju threw the ceremonial first pitch while Eji was the ceremonial batter.
Chowon was hit by a foul ball during the game.
“After being hit by a foul ball, Chowon was sent to the medical room and momentarily fainted, but recovered shortly after. She was then sent to hospital straight away,” Ichillin’s agency, Kment, told the Korea JoongAng Daily on Wednesday.
The agency said that Chowon was hit by the ball in the back of her head, but a detailed checkup showed no signs of serious injuries. Ichillin’s scheduled performance at the match, set to take place after the fifth inning, was canceled.
"After discussing with Chowon, we have decided that Chowon should take a break and focus on recovering her health, without participating in any group activities."
Ichillin' will attend Wednesday's scheduled group activities as a group of six, without Chowon.
Ichillin’ is a seven-member girl group that debuted in 2021 with its first digital single “Got’Ya.” The group recently released its third EP, “Feelin’ Hot,” on March 7.
