Moon Tae-il of boy band NCT has been indicted for sexually assaulting a woman with two other men, Chosun Ilbo reported Monday.

Moon, the 30-year-old former NCT member, whose real name is Moon Tae-il, was reported for special quasi-rape to the police, according to the news report. The victim was a drunk woman, the report said.

Special quasi-rape is when two or more people collectively assault a victim, or a person sexually assaults another while carrying a weapon, making the victim unable to defend themselves.

Should Moon be found guilty, he could be sentenced to more than seven years, or life.

Prosecutors have not summoned him for questioning yet. He was questioned on Aug. 28, two months after being reported to police.

Moon's agency SM Entertainment announced the next day that he had been booked for a sex crime and that he would quit his band NCT, but did not elaborate on the details of his crime.

The agency did not confirm Monday's report either.

Taeil debuted in 2016 as a member of NCT's subgroup NCT U. He took time off from group activities last year after suffering an injury to his right thigh in a traffic accident on Aug. 15.
