NewJeans' Hanni arrives at the National Assembly — in pictures
Hanni of girl group NewJeans arrived at the National Assembly building in western Seoul on Tuesday at around 2 p.m. to give her testimony on the workplace harassment allegation she raised last month to the Environment and Labor Committee.
Hanni donned a bright smile as she walked into the building entrance, surrounded by her bodyguard to block off the press. The National Assembly gave prior notice to reporters to refrain from overcrowding the building on Tuesday and gave restricted access to the media to attend the committee meeting.
On Sept. 11, the five members of NewJeans demanded in a YouTube livestream that HYBE reinstate Min Hee-jin as CEO of ADOR. During the livestream, Hanni alleged that the manager of girl group ILLIT instructed a member to “ignore” Hanni.
Hanni claimed that she took the matter to Kim Ju-young, the new CEO of ADOR who replaced Min in August, who said that nothing could be done about it.
The afternoon session of the parliamentary audit by the labor committee is set to begin at around 2:30 p.m.
