NMIXX to drop second EP "Fe3O4: Break" in January
NMIXX will drop the girl group's second EP “Fe3O4: Break” on Jan. 15, its agency JYP Entertainment said Tuesday.
"Fe3O4" will be the group's first EP in eight months following the release of "expérgo" on March 20. NMIXX also dropped its third single "A Midsummer NMIXX's Dream" on July 11.
The group will also drop a pre-release digital single “Soñar (Breaker)” on Monday, before the album release.
“Fe3O4” refers to a chemical symbol of a magnetic material, while “Soñar” means dreaming, according to JYP Entertainment.
While other information about the single or album was not disclosed, a motion poster was released on Tuesday. It showed a magnetic cube pulling objects and then breaking apart with the upcoming EP’s title appearing, showing the release date of the digital single and EP.
NMIXX debuted in February 2022 under JYP Entertainment. It has six members: Haewon, Lily, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo and Kyujin. Former member Jinni, who was part of the original debut lineup, left the group on Dec. 9, 2022, citing personal reasons.
The group is known for “Dice” (2022) and “Love Me Like This.” The group dropped its first EP “expérgo” in March and its third single “A Midsummer NMIXX's Dream” in July. It recently met fans by holding its first mini-concert on Oct. 7 and Oct. 8.
