Boy band Riize’s Anton has been selected as the most “Valentine-like” K-pop artist for his sweetness and hospitality toward fans, according to the fan voting platform Picnic.

In the poll that ran from Feb. 13 through Feb. 27, Anton received 121,624 votes. Alpha Drive One’s Sangwon followed with 76,644 votes, while virtual boy band Plave’s Noah trailed with 67,482 votes.


According to Picnic, the top-ranked artists showed thoughtful consideration toward their fans and maintained warm images that showed them to be well-mannered. The platform added that Anton’s selection reflects the genuine relationship he has built with his fans.


Riize wrapped up its first world tour with a concert in Seoul on Sunday. The tour attracted 420,000 spectators worldwide. Picnic added that Anton personally participated in the track-making process for the tour.

Anton has also said he worked through many nights for Riize’s fandom Briize, which the platform says strengthened his image as a sweet and devoted artist, often called a “human Valentine” by his fans.

In collaboration with Korea JoongAng Daily, Picnic hosts weekly polls on a wide range of topics related to K-pop artists.
