Son Ye-jin attached to new Park Chan-wook movie project
Actor Son Ye-jin may star in an upcoming Park Chan-wook production, according to local reports Tuesday.
“Son recently received the script and is reviewing it, but nothing has been decided at the moment,” Son’s agency MSteam Entertainment told the Korea JoongAng Daily.
If Son decides to take on the project, it will be her first time working with the critically-acclaimed director, known for films such as “Decision to Leave” (2022), “The Handmaiden” (2016) and “Sympathy for Lady Vengeance” (2005).
Information about Park’s new production has not been disclosed yet, but local reports say that actor Lee Byung-hun is set to star in it as well.
Since starring in the JTBC drama series “Thirty-Nine” in 2022, Son has taken a break from acting. She married actor Hyun Bin in March 2021 and gave birth to a son in November that year. Son is best known for her roles in the television series “Something in the Rain” (2018) on JTBC and “Crash Landing on You” (2019-20) on tvN.
