Girl group Rocket Punch debuted in August 2019 under Woollim Entertainment.
The six-member group’s name means “A rocket punch of refreshment to a boring world,” which is evident in the refreshing teenage concept the band has been pushing for.
Four of the band’s albums are titled similar to the band’s name to establish a solid reputation in the crowded K-pop market: “Pink Punch” (2019), “Red Punch” (2020), “Blue Punch” (2020) and “Yellow Punch” (2022).
Three members — Juri, Sohee and Suyun — took part in the 2018 cable channel Mnet audition program “Produce 48,” bringing a steady fan base to the group before the official debut of the group. Juri first made her debut in 2011 in Japan as a part of the girl group AKB48 but signed with Woollim Entertainment in 2019.
The band is best known for its songs “Bim Bam Bum” (2019) and “Bouncy” (2020).
