Singer and actor Ok Taec-yeon will star in a lead role in the upcoming OCN drama series “Blind.”
Entertainment company Fantagio made the announcement Thursday while also revealing that it would produce the series — a first for the company.
What role Ok will take on was not revealed.
The series is a mystery thriller centered on two sides — ordinary citizens who unjustly became victims and perpetrators who turn away from the uncomfortable truth.
Producer Shin Yong-hwi behind SBS drama series “The Great Doctor” (2012) OCN’s “Tunnel” (2017) and tvN’s “Voice 4” (2021) and writer Kwon Ki-kyung behind KBS’s “Sharp” (2003-07) and “Andante” (2017-18) will collaborate on the series.
Ok debuted as a member of a K-pop boy band 2PM in 2008. He is now active both as a singer and an actor after first featuring in the KBS drama series “Cinderella’s Stepsister” in 2010.
Fantagio represents a variety of actors and K-pop idols such as Baek Yoon-sik, Ong Seong-wu, Kim Mi-hwa, girl group Weki Meki and boy band Astro.
