AKMU announces two concerts to celebrate decade-long career
Sibling duo AKMU will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut with two concerts in June, the duo’s agency YG Entertainment said Friday.
The concerts, titled “10VE,” will be held on June 15 and 16 at the KSPO Dome in Songpa District, southern Seoul.
“10VE” is a combination of the word love and the number 10, which depicts “the love AKMU holds for its fans who have been there every step of the way during the duo’s music journey for 10 years,” according to YG Entertainment.
Presale tickets will open at 8 p.m. on April 16 to Akkademy members who have preregistered on Weverse, with regular tickets opening at 8 p.m. on April 19. The tickets will be sold on Interpark Ticket.
Akkademy is the duo’s fan club, a name that was coined in March this year as a part of AKMU’s 10-year anniversary celebrations.
AKMU, also known as Akdong Musician, consists of siblings Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun. The two shot to fame after appearing on and winning the second season of SBS’s audition program “K-pop Star” (2012-13). The duo debuted under YG Entertainment in April 2014 with its first album “Play” and has since released hits including “200%” (2014), “Dinosaur” (2020) and “ Love Lee” (2023).
