Astro's Sanha to release first solo album 'Dusk' in August
Singer Sanha will release his first solo album, "Dusk," on Aug. 6, eight years after his debut as a member of boy band Astro.
"The title means 'twilight' and 'the hour of the dog and wolf,' expressing an ambition to achieve true growth through the twilight period," Sanha's agency Fantagio said Wednesday.
Sanha has released solo material before, including “24 Hours” in the boy band’s third full-length album, “Drive to the Starry Road” (2022).
Sanha is known to post cover songs on a YouTube playlist titled “SANiGHT.” The boy band member has covered various songs including singer IU’s “Through the Night” (2017), singer Lee Seok-hoon’s “10 Reasons I Love You” (2010) and rock band Jaurim’s “Twenty Five, Twenty One” (2013).
Sanha held a concert in tandem with the playlist, titled “SANiGHT Project #1 — Wish,” in March at Ewha Womans University in Seodaemun District, western Seoul.
Sanha was part of Astro’s subunit Moonbin & Sanha until Moonbin took his own life in 2023. The subunit’s last release was EP “Incense,” released in January last year.
