Coupang Play original series “Family Matters,” starring actor Bae Doo-na, is set for release on Nov. 29, the streaming platform said Thursday.
“Family Matters” follows a mother with a special ability to edit memories who joins forces with her family to bring “hell” to villains.
Directed by Kim Gok and Kim Sun, the series features veteran actors Bae as Young-soo, Ryoo Seung-bum as Cheol-hee and Baek Yoon-sik as Kang-sung. Rookies Lomon and Lee Soo-hyun will play Ji-hoon and Ji-woo, respectively.
While further detail was not released regarding the upcoming series, a poster was revealed with all five actors along with the phrase, ”Pay attention from now on. We’re about to show you what kind of family we are.”
The series will be Bae’s first drama in three years since Netflix’s science fiction drama “The Silent Sea” (2021). It will also be Ryoo’s return to the small screen after a year since the Disney+ series “Moving” (2023).
