Blackpink, Takashi Murakami to launch limited edition merchandise together
Blackpink will launch a limited edition merchandise collection in collaboration with Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami on Friday.
The collection consists of 19 pieces featuring Pandakashi, a character created by Murakami and inspired by Blackpink.
The character represents a harmonious blend of two visionaries in art and music, according to the merchandise distributor NTWRK.
“This groundbreaking collaboration blends Murakami’s distinctively colorful vision and whimsical artistry with Blackpink’s iconic style and influence as the biggest girl group in the world,” NTWRK said in a press release.
The merchandise will drop worldwide on Friday, exclusively on NTWRK’s website or app, followed by an offline pop-up on Saturday and Sunday at
Art Basel Miami Beach and the NTWRK Los Angeles store.
Blackpink debuted in 2016 under YG Entertainment, and all four members of the girl group recently renewed their exclusive contracts for group activities with the agency on Tuesday.
