BTS will hold a large-scale urban festival in Busan on June 12 and 13 to mark its anniversary, according to the band's agency BigHit Music on Monday.

The event, titled “BTS The City Arirang – Busan,” aims to fill the southeastern port city with the K-pop behemoth's music and narrative. The festival coincides with the band’s concert dates in Busan.

The upcoming festival is expected to serve as a “homecoming” for the band after turning the city into a backdrop for a citywide concert experience four years ago, said BigHit. In 2022, BTS staged the ″Yet To Come in Busan″ concert in support of the city’s bid to host the 2030 World Expo.

Between June 12 and 13, landmarks and famous sightseeing places across the port city are set to commemorate the band’s return, including lightning drones above Gwangan Bridge and a media facade around the city’s main shopping district, Gwangbok-ro.

The Haeundae beach area will be revamped into relaxing public venues with the “Love Song Lounge” and “Love Quarter” spaces, and a fan community zone dubbed Army Madang that will allow visitors to experience how cutting-edge technologies would combine with the entertainment industry.

The specific information is available on the BTS channel on the global fan platform Weverse.

The septet, which debuted on June 13, 2013, is set to stage two concerts at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium on June 12 and 13 as part of its "Arirang" world tour.
