G-Dragon to auction fashion, art items to fans on Joopiter online platform
A collection of K-pop star G-Dragon's itemswill go on sale from Sept. 2 on online auction platform Joopiter, founded by famed producer Pharrell Williams.
The singer's items for auction include fashion articles, modern art pieces, design objects and souvenirs. Art pieces that the rapper has specifically created for the auction will also be available on the platform, starting Sept. 2 to Sept. 10.
Some of the items that went on sale for the “Nothing but a ‘G’ Thang: The Art and Archive of G-Dragon” auction on Sept. 2 will be on display exclusively for invited guests at the Paradise City resort in Incheon, the same day. Williams himself will be present at the display, according to Paradise City.
The display will be made available for visitors of the resort to see on Sept. 3 at the resort's art house.
The auction is being held as a part of the “Paradise Art Night” event, which celebrates the opening of the annual Frieze Seoul art fair. “Paradise Art Night” hosts various events, such as an evening party and a preview of the Frieze art fair.
“G-Dragon’s illustrious career has created exceptional objects across many mediums, many of which have never been seen by the public before," said Caitlyn Donovan, the global head of sales for Joopiter. “We are honored that G-Dragon is opening his archive, showcasing his exceptional eye and breadth of creative talent.”
