Girl Group Say My Name set to debut on Oct. 16
Girl group Say My Name, produced by singer and actor Kim Jae-joong of JYJ, is set to debut on Oct. 16.
Inkode Entertainment announced on Thursday that the agency's first girl group, Say My Name, will debut on Oct. 16 with its first EP. The title of the album was not revealed.
Kim, a veteran K-pop artist who debuted in 2003 as a member of boy band TVXQ, oversaw the production of the girl group, according to the agency.
The girl group has seven members: Dohee, Kanny, Mei, Junhwi, Soha, Seungjoo and Hitomi.
Member Hitomi gained recognition as a contestant on Mnet's survival reality show "Produce 48" (2018), where she finished in ninth place and went on to debut in the girl group IZ*ONE, which disbanded in 2021. She originally debuted with the Japanese girl group AKB48 in 2014 and graduated in January.
Member Mei also participated in the survival show "The Debut: Dream Academy" (2023), produced by HYBE Entertainment and Geffen Records to create a six-member global girl group.
