Girl group woo!ah! to release new music after 18-month hiatus
Girl group woo!ah! will release new music for the first time in nearly a year and a half, the group’s agency, SSQ Entertainment, said Friday.
The group's new release drops next month. Its previous release was its fourth single, “Pit-a-Pat,” which dropped in November 2022.
The members have been focusing on their solo activities during the group's hiatus, SSQ Entertainment said.
Nana and Wooyeon competed and were finalists on Mnet’s girl group competition program “Queendom Puzzle” (2023). Nana, as a runner-up, secured a spot in project girl group EL7Z, which debuted in September with “7+UP.”
Nana has also been active as host of a number of shows including MBC M’s music program “Show Champion” (2012-), while Wooyeon has worked as an actor on TV series such as Disney+’s “Revenge of Others” (2022) and web drama “Snap and Spark” (2023).
The other members - Sora, Lucy and Minseo - have made regular appearances on the group's YouTube channel and Weverse.
“The woo!ah! members are working hard on the album to show a new side of themselves to the fans,” SSQ Entertainment said. “We thank the fans who have waited a long time for woo!ah!’s comeback.”
