Kim Se-jeong says goodbye to Jellyfish Entertainment after a decade

Singer and actor Kim Se-jeong [JELLYFISH ENTERTAINMENT]

Singer and actor Kim Se-jeong will not renew her exclusive contract with Jellyfish Entertainment, the agency said on Monday.

Jellyfish has managed Kim for the past decade.

Kim did not disclose her next agency.

Kim debuted as a member of project girl group I.O.I in 2016 after finishing in second place in the Mnet K-pop survival television series “Produce 101” (2016). After the group’s disbandment, Kim continued her K-pop career as a member of girl group Gugudan, until it broke up in 2020.

Since then, Kim has been mainly active as an actor, best known for her roles in the OCN and tvN television drama series “Uncanny Counter” (2020-23) and SBS’s “Business Proposal” (2022) and “Today’s Webtoon” (2022).

I.O.I is set to reunite with nine members via a tour, titled “LOOP,” in late May.
