National post service to issue Blackpink-inspired commemorative stamps

Commemorative postage stamps to mark the 10-year anniversary of girl group Blackpink's debut [YG ENTERTAINMENT]

Girl group Blackpink is collaborating with Korea’s national postal service to issue commemorative postage stamps marking the 10th anniversary of its debut, its agency YG Entertainment said on Thursday.

Blackpink, which debuted in 2016, is set to become the first female K-pop artists to appear on commemorative stamps.

The collaboration will include 10 different stamp designs inspired by the group’s discography. The bundle will also come with the members’ portraits and photos of them on stage, according to the agency.

The stamp will be available for general purchase at post offices nationwide and on the Korea Post’s website starting June 16. The presale will open from June 12 to 15.

International fans or those living abroad can place their orders through YG Select and the English-language site of Korea Post.

“Blackpink’s musical journey will be recreated in a new form,” YG Entertainment said. “We hope that these stamps — as a medium — will become a treasured keepsake for Blinks worldwide.” Blinks is the name for the group’s fandom.

The Korea Post periodically releases commemorative stamps to honor events, objects and people of national significance. Previously, it issued BTS-themed commemorative stamps in June 2023 — the first for a K-pop group.
