NCT's Johnny breaks collarbone, halts activities
Johnny from boy band NCT will temporarily halt all activities after experiencing collarbone fractures, his agency SM Entertainment said Monday.
Johnny bumped into a studio door on Saturday evening during a content shoot and was sent to a hospital, according to the agency.
"Johnny fractured his clavicle and was advised by the medical team to use a brace to hold the injured part and minimize movement until he is recovered," SM Entertainment said in a press release on Monday evening.
"Therefore, Johnny will halt all schedules and focus on treatment and recovery. We will announce his schedule resumption at a future date."
The agency ended its statement with an apology to the fans of the boy band.
Johnny, whose real name is John Jeon Suh, is a Korean American member of boy band NCT. He made his debut in sub-group NCT 127 on Jan. 5, 2017, during its second EP, "NCT #127 Limitless," and debuted in sub-unit NCT U on Nov. 12, 2020, through its second full-length album "NCT Resonance Pt.1."
All three sub-groups of boy band NCT — NCT 127, NCT Dream and WayV — will come together for an offline stadium tour in Korea and Japan for the first time, performing at the Incheon Munhak Stadium in Incheon on Aug. 26, Yanmar Stadium Nagai, Osaka, on Sept. 9 and 10 and in Ajinomoto Stadium, Tokyo on Sept. 16 and 17.
