SF9’s Hwiyoung to drop solo digital single 'HBD' Saturday
Boy band SF9’s Hwiyoung will drop a solo digital single, “HBD,” on Saturday, agency FNC Entertainment said Wednesday.
The song will be the singer’s first new work in four months after his first solo digital single, “Drive5,” was released on Aug. 13.
“HBD” is composed and written by Hwiyoung, having a band sound with simple melodies added, according to the agency.
The song will be a warm, comforting gift to young people who have experienced a breakup, FNC Entertainment said in a press release.
Short videos hinting at the new release have been uploaded since Nov. 29 on FNC Entertainment's YouTube channel.
Hwiyoung debuted as a member of FNC Entertainment’s boy band SF9 in October 2016. He is currently acting in KBS’s TV series, “The Matchmakers."
SF9 has eight members: Yoo Tae-yang, Youngbin, Zuho, Hwiyoung, Inseong, Jaeyoon, Dawon and Chani. The boy band is known for tracks "So Beautiful" (2016), "O Sole Mio" (2017) "Round And Round" (2019), "Good Guy" (2020) and "Puzzle." It is set to release an EP on Jan. 8.
