SHINee's Taemin joins G-Dragon at Galaxy Corporation
Boy band SHINee member Taemin has signed an exclusive contract with entertainment company Galaxy Corporation, home to veteran singer G-dragon.
"We will fully support him so that his distinctive artistic capabilities can create synergy with the company’s cutting-edge technology," Galaxy Corporation said Wednesday.
With the move, Taemin joins a roster that includes singer G-Dragon, actor Song Kang-ho and television personality Kim Jong-kook.
Taemin debuted with SHINee in 2008 and later launched a solo career in 2014. He has released songs with SHINee such as “Replay” (2008), “Ring Ding Dong” (2009) and “View” (2015), as well as solo tracks including “Danger” (2014), “Move” (2017) and “Want” (2019).
He left SM Entertainment in 2024 after the end of his exclusive contract, signing with Big Planet Made Entertainment. Big Planet Made announced on Feb. 24 that Taemin’s exclusive contract with the agency had ended. No reason was disclosed in the agency’s statement.
In August 2024, he launched his first solo world tour, “Ephemeral Gaze,” at Inspire Arena in Incheon.
He is also set to appear at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California. The festival is scheduled for April 10 to 12 and April 17 to 19, and Taemin appears on the official lineup.
