Singer BoA will start a new chapter in her career through her self-established agency, BApal Entertainment, the agency said on Tuesday.

“BoA has decided to adopt a new structure to pursue her musical direction,” said BApal Entertainment.

“The most important assets that have shaped BoA into who she is today are her precious memories and valuable experiences [as an artist] over the years, and she plans to strengthen her musical foundation based on those learnings.”

The name BApal Entertainment combines “BoA” and the English word “pal,” reflecting her intention to become even closer to her fans, according to the agency.

BoA left SM Entertainment in December 2025 after having been with the company since her debut at 14 years old in 2000. She led the first generation of the Korean Wave in Asia.

BoA is known for hits such as “No. 1" (2002), “Valenti” (2002) and “Only One” (2012).
