Singer Chungha named Wemade and Wemix's promotional model
Singer Chungha has been named promotional model for game company Wemade and its cryptocurrency Wemix, the game publisher said Thursday.
“We saw that Chungha's global popularity, which goes beyond Korea, was in line with our vision for Wemix, which is also a global blockchain project,” Wemade said in a news release.
According to the company, the singer will start her activities as the two brands' model starting with G-Star 2023, this year's edition of Korea's largest annual game show that begins on Nov. 16.
Wemade is this year's leading sponsor of G-Star 2023.
Chungha debuted in 2016 as a member of project girl group I. O. I, which was formed through the first season of Mnet’s popular audition program “Produce 101.” After the group disbanded in early 2017, she debuted as a solo act with the EP “Hands on Me” (2017). She went on to release hits “Roller Coaster” (2018), “Love U” (2018), “Gotta Go” (2019), and “Play” (2020) and “Bicycle” (2021).
After leaving her previous agency MNH Entertainment in March this year, she joined a newly-founded agency named More Vision, established by singer and producer Jay Park in March last year.
