Singer Lee Chae-yeon to release new music after two years
Singer Lee Chae-yeon will release a new album later this month, marking her comeback for the first time in two years, her agency DayOneDream (DOD) announced on Monday.
Lee is a solo artist and was a former member of the disbanded girl group IZ*ONE.
“Lee Chae-yeon has recently completed filming a music video for her new song, and now she is preparing earnestly for the final stretch [of her comeback],” the agency said in a press release.
The upcoming album will be her first release after moving to a new agency in December of last year.
Lee officially debuted as a contestant on Mnet’s audition program “Produce 48" (2018) and became a member of the project girl group IZ*ONE, which disbanded in April 2021. She later appeared as a crew member of the dance group WANT on the dance competition show “Street Woman Fighter” (2021).
Lee made a solo debut with her first EP, “Hush Rush,” in October 2022, followed by the EPs “Over the Moon” (2023) and “Showdown” (2024).
Specific details about her upcoming album will be disclosed at a later date.
