Singer-songwriter Bang Ye-dam wants to give 'Good Vibe's with second EP
Singer-songwriter Bang Ye-dam wants to show the world the full extent of his creativity with his second EP “Good Vibes.”
The new EP — released on Thursday — is the singer's first new music in nine months since his first EP “Only One” was released in November last year.
“It feels good to be back with an EP in quite a while,” said Bang. “I lost myself for a few months preparing to return with this project, and it feels relieving that it is finally out.”
“Good Vibes” has a total of six tracks: lead track “O-HE,” “Lovey," “We Good,” “Lovin’ Ya,” “Fallin’” and “T.M.B.”
“I chose ‘O-HE’ as the lead track because I thought it didn’t lag once from beginning to end,” said Bang. “I think it is a song where I can show all my strengths.”
Bang is known for writing and producing most of his music. The singer is credited for the lyrics, writing, arrangement and background vocals of "Good Vibes," according to his agency GF Entertainment.
“I wanted to show a more mature sound compared to the last album,” said Bang. “I put a lot of focus on the arrangements when I was working on the songs.”
Bang debuted with his first solo track “Wayo” in June 2020 before officially debuting as a member of boy band Treasure under YG Entertainment in August 2020. He left the band as well as YG in November 2022 to pursue a more active involvement in the production of his music.
“I hope people will say I have grown musically,” said Bang. “I want the listener to think of a specific musical style when they think of me.”
