Stray Kids to release song for Japanese drama series
Boy band Stray Kids will release its first original soundtrack for a Japanese drama series on April 12, its agency, JYP Entertainment, said Sunday.
The soundtrack is for an upcoming drama series in Japan set to air its first episode on April 11, titled "Re: Revenge - Yokubo No Hate Ni."
This is the first time Stray Kids will take part in creating a soundtrack for Japanese content. "Why?" has been written by Stray Kids' production trio, known as 3racha, composed of members Bang Chan, Changbin and Han.
"We are so excited to work on our first Japanese drama original soundtrack," the members said in a press release.
"We wanted the lyrics to represent the main character [of the drama] so we hope you enjoy the deep story of the drama with 'Why?'"
Stray Kids is set to hold its offline fan event, "Stray Kids Fan Connecting 2024 'SKZ Toy World'," on April 6 and 7 at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka and on April 27 and 28 at the Belluna Dome in Saitama.
The band will also take part in the I-Days and BST Hyde Park festivals in July and headline the Lollapalooza Chicago music festival in August.
