Super Junior-D&E to drop pre-release track 'Rose' from upcoming EP '606'
Super Junior-D&E will drop its pre-release track “Rose” from the upcoming EP “606” at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, the duo’s agency Ode Entertainment said on the same day.
The duo’s fifth EP, “606,” is slated for release on March 26. The track list for the EP was revealed earlier last week.
“’Rose’ is the song with the most distinct color on the EP,” Ode Entertainment said through a press release. The song is described as a simple one with only the members’ vocals on top of guitar instrumentals.
“The song talks about a relationship that is about to end and break up,” the duo’s agency added. Member Donghae joined in writing the lyrics for and composing the song.
Also in the upcoming EP is the lead track “GGB,” “Hang Over,” “Twisted,” “New Balance” and “Missing Pieces.”
The duo canceled performances for “GGB” on TV music shows after the title received backlash on claims that it is derogatory toward women. The Korean title of “GGB” is jijibae, a slang word for “young girl” that is often used to belittle women.
The company clarified that the word was not intended to be used negatively and expressed regret for having “failed to foresee that there would be different opinions regarding the trend of the times.”
Super Junior-D&E is a subunit of boy band Super Junior consisting of members Donghae and Eunhyuk. The members made their debut as a duo with their digital single “Oppa Oppa” in December 2011. Its last music release was its first full-length album, “Countdown,” which dropped in November 2021.
