Super Junior to release single 'Show Time' to mark 19th anniversary

Super Junior returns with new single, "Show Time," on June 11 [SM ENTERTAINMENT]


K-pop boy band Super Junior will release its new single, "Show Time," on Tuesday to mark the 19th anniversary of its debut, according to its agency, SM Entertainment on Friday.

"Show Time" is a funk-pop song that begins with impactful brass and vocals and expresses the group's showmanship through groovy rhythms and guitars, according to the band's agency. The lyrics discuss the band's aspirations for the year.

"Show Time" is the first new song in about a year and five months since the boy band's 11th full-length album "The Road" (2023).

Super Junior will embark on the "Super Show Spin-Off: Halftime" concert tour across eight cities in Asia, kicking off with the performance at KSPO Dome in Songpa District, southern Seoul on June 22 and 23. The boy band is set to perform in Bangkok; Singapore; Hong Kong; Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Taipei, Taiwan and Jakarta, Indonesia.

Super Junior debuted in 2005 with its first full-length album "Super Junior05." It is widely considered as one of the pioneering K-pop boy bands of the 2000s, known for many hits such as "U" (2006), "Rokuko" (2008), "Sorry Sorry" (2009), "Mr. Simple" (2011) and more.
