Three years after marrying, Don Lee and Ye Jung-hwa will finally hold wedding
Actor Don Lee and his wife, Ye Jung-hwa, are finally saying “I do” in a wedding ceremony this May, three years after signing their marriage papers.
Lee, known also by his Korean name of Ma Dong-seok, and Ye will hold a wedding ceremony with family and friends on May 25 in Seoul, Maeil Business reported on Monday.
The two were legally wed in 2021, five years after they announced their relationship in 2016.
Their marriage was made public in 2022 after Lee referred to Ye as his “wife” in a speech at the 12th SACF Artist of the Year Awards.
“I send my love to my biggest supporter and wife Ye Jung-hwa as well as my family,” he said.
The two have not yet been able to hold a ceremony due to Lee’s Hollywood schedule, according to Maeil Business. Lee starred in Marvel's “Eternals” (2021), for which shooting began in February 2020.
Lee, a Korean-born American actor and producer, made his acting debut with a supporting role in the film “Dance with the Wind” (2004). He has since held lead roles in multiple commercially and critically successful films including in “Train to Busan” (2016), “The Outlaws” (2017), and "Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days" (2018). “ The Roundup: Punishment,” the fourth installment in the smash hit franchise “The Outlaws” for which Lee worked as lead actor and producer, premieres in Korean theaters on April 24.
Ye started her career as a model. She had a cameo role in the comedy drama film “The Soul-Mate” (2018), in which Lee held the lead role.
