Enhypen to perform at 'Rock In Japan Festival 2024' in August
Boy band Enhypen is set to perform at Japanese music festival, “Rock In Japan Festival 2024,” in Soga Sports Park on Aug. 10, its agency Belift Lab said Thursday.
Enhypen will be the first Korean artist to perform at the music festival in 11 years, following the performance of rock band CNBlue in 2013.
It will also be the band’s second year in a row participating in a Japanese music festival, after their performance at “Summer Sonic 2023” in August last year.
“Rock In Japan Festival 2024,” marking its 25th anniversary this year, is one of four major music festivals in Japan, according to the agency.
The festival will be held over five days from Aug. 3 to 4 and Aug. 10 to 12.
Enhypen debuted under Belift Lab, a subsidiary label of HYBE, in 2020 with their EP "Border: Day One." The seven-member boy band was formed through Mnet and HYBE's audition reality show "I-Land" in September of the same year. The members are Sunghoon, Jay, Jake, Jungwon, Heeseung, Sunoo and Ni-Ki.
The band is scheduled to start the Japanese leg of their “Fate Plus” world tour in June. They will stop in five cities — Saitama, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Aichi and Miyagi — and will hold 11 concerts during the tour.
Member Jay also recently collaborated on Japanese rock band GLAY’s 30th-anniversary single’s lead track, "whodunit-GLAY × JAY (Enhypen)-," which will be released on May 29. Jay provided the lyrics for the song, as well as featuring in it, according to the agency.
