KCON LA 2023 attracts record 140,000 concertgoers
KCON LA 2023, which took place in Los Angeles from Friday to Sunday, saw the largest number of participants in KCON history with 140,000 offline visitors, its organizer CJ ENM said.
The number is 50,000 more than last year's.
The event saw 5.9 million people from 176 different countries tuning in online.
It featured 278 booths and 153 programs that showcased Korean products at its venues, the Crypto.com Arena and the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Among them was the Samsung Galaxy booth, in which visitors were able to try out its latest Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 smartphones. Health and beauty retailer Olive Young displayed an array of popular Korean beauty products at its booth.
Twenty-one K-pop acts, including Ateez, Cravity, Everglow, (G)I-DLE, Kep1er, Nmixx, Everglow, Taemin and Taeyong performed at the three-day event. Some 20,000 fans filled up the Crypto.com Arena while they watched their favorite stars perform on a 360-degree stage.
KCON is a global K-pop festival hosted and organized by CJ ENM, which takes place in countries all over the world, including Thailand and Japan.
