Treasure to drop Japanese versions of 'Bona Bona,' 'Move'

Boy band Treasure [NEWS1]

Treasure will drop Japanese versions of "Bona Bona" and "Move" on Sept. 16 and 25, the boy band's agency YG Entertainment said Monday.

"Bona Bona" is Trasure's lead track for its second full-length album "Reboot," which dropped on July 28, and "Move" is the title track for the band's subunit T5's single, which dropped on June 28.

The band first revealed the Japanese version of "Bona Bona" during its fan meeting tour "Hello Again" held in Kobe, Japan, last Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Treasure kicked off its Japanese fan meeting tour on Sept. 1 with performances in Fukuoka. The boy band is set to hold 20 total performances around five Japanese cities, including a performance at the Tokyo Dome in November.

It makes Treasure the first Korean artist to enter the Tokyo Dome for a fan meeting. Performing at the Tokyo Dome, one of Japan's most prominent venues, is a milestone for an artist in the Japanese music industry.

The band debuted through an audition program aired on JTBC2, "YG Treasure Box" (2018–2019). The agency initially planned to debut two bands — as it did with boy bands Winner and iKON in 2013 — named Treasure and Magnum. But it decided later to roll out just one band with 12 members.

Treasure currently consists of 10 members: Choi Hyun-suk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Yoon Jae-hyuk, Asahi, Haruto, Doyoung, Park Jeong-woo and So Jung-hwan. Members Mashiho and Bang Ye-dam left the band in November 2022.
