Singer Chungha has become the first donor this year to join ChildFund Korea's Green Noble Club, recognizing people who have donated more than 100 million won ($90,000) over the previous five years.

A number of celebrities have joined the club over the years, including BTS’s J-Hope in 2019, Max Changmin of TVXQ in 2018 and actor Song Il-kook in 2017.

Since her first donation of 50 million won for medical treatment for children in 2019, Chungha has continued to donate to help children from underprivileged households during the coronavirus pandemic, totaling about 120 million won of charitable donations. She has also been active in promoting campaigns organized by ChildFund Korea.
