Singer and actor Kim Se-jeong renews contract with Jellyfish Entertainment

Singer and actor Kim Se-jeong renewed her contract with Jellyfish Entertainment, according to the agency on Tuesday.

“We will give her our full investment and support to her future endeavors so we can be a reliable support system,” said the agency.

Kim has worked with Jellyfish entertainment since before she rose to fame through the first season of Mnet’s hit audition program “Produce 101” (2016). She competed in the audition as a trainee of the agency.

She was one of the final top 11 contestants who formed the girl group I.O.I which disbanded in early 2017. After “Produce 101” ended, she also became a member of Jellyfish Entertainment’s former girl group Gugudan (2016-2020) and started her solo music career.Her best-known solo tracks include "Flower Way" (2016), "Plant" (2020) and "Whale" (2020).

Kim has also seen success as an actor, starring in the television series "School 2017” (2017), “I Wanna Hear Your Song” (2019) and “The Uncanny Counter” (2020-2021), as well as on entertainment shows.
