‘I miss you, I am sorry’: Celebrity tributes pour in for Park Bo-ram after funeral
Park Bo-ram's fellow "Superstar K" (2009-2015) alumni and colleagues paid tribute to the late singer with online posts following Park's funeral procession on Wednesday.
Park's funeral altar was set at the funeral home at Asan Medical Center. She was reportedly buried at Dongsan Park in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province.
Her funeral was attended by Park’s fellow “Superstar K” singers as well as colleagues, including Huh Gak, Roy Kim, Kang Seung-yoon, Park Jae-jung, Giant Pink, girl group Kara’s Heo Young-ji and Go Eun-ah, according to media reports.
Her funeral procession started Wednesday morning and was joined by celebrity colleagues and singers as they paid tribute to the late singer. Kang, Kim and Park aided in lowering her body to the ground.
Celebrities Kang, Heo, EXID’s Hyerin and Kim left messages for the late singer on their social media after the funeral procession.
“I miss you, I am sorry, and I love you,” Heo said. “Stay happy up there, Park Bo.”
“Ram, I miss you. I hope you’re happy there, without any pain or sadness. My younger sister,” Hyerin posted. The two singers both posted photos of a smiling Park.
Park first became known to the public after competing on Mnet’s audition show “Super-star K 2” (2010), in which she ultimately finished as a Top 7 finalist. She made her debut in August 2014 with the single “Beautiful (feat. Zico of Block B).”
Her last song, “I miss you,” dropped on April 3. She had been preparing to release a full-length album, according to Xanadu Entertainment.
Park died late at night on April 11 after being found unconscious. She was 30. The results of the autopsy held Monday revealed “no signs that she died of homicide or suicide,” according to her label Xanadu Entertainment.
