Singer Park Bo-ram dies at 30 of alcohol poisoning
Singer Park Bo-ram has died of alcohol poisoning, Namyangju Nambu Police Precinct revealed Thursday.
Park's autopsy report attributed her death to “acute alcohol intoxication,” a condition in which a victim's blood alcohol content reaches dangerous levels. It commonly occurs after large amounts of alcohol are consumed over a short period of time.
Park died on the night of April 11 at the age of 30 after friends found her unconscious in the bathroom of a Namyangju, Gyeonggi where she'd been drinking.
The singer was in poor health at the time of her death, police said, due to fatty liver disease and liver lesions, according to the police.
Park first came into the public eye on cable network Mnet’s audition show “Superstar K 2” in 2010, which she finished as a Top 7 finalist. She made her official debut in August 2014 with single “Beautiful (Feat. Zico of Block B).”
