Blackpink member Jisoo is set to receive the Madame Figaro Rising Star Award at the Canneseries this year, according to the television festival’s organizers on Tuesday.
The annual event is set to take place from April 23 to 28 in Cannes, France.
The award honors budding actors who are deemed to have shown notable performances. Past recipients include Sydney Sweeney, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Marie Colomb, Ella Purnell, Morfydd Clark and Phoebe Dynevor.
Canneseries artistic director Albin Lewi reportedly described Jisoo’s “artistic journey, her ability to conquer new creative territories and her global aura” as the reasons behind the selection, according to Variety.
Jisoo debuted as a member of Blackpink in 2016. The group recently released the EP “Deadline” with lead track “GO.”
Jisoo is also known for her roles in television drama series like JTBC’s “Snowdrop” (2021-22), Coupang Play’s “Newtopia” (2025) and Netflix's “Boyfriend on Demand,” as well as the film “Omniscient Reader” (2025).
