Katseye to perform at AMAs, nominated for New Artist of the Year
Girl group Katseye is set to perform at the upcoming American Music Awards (AMA), held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 25.
The HYBE girl group will be performing at the awards ceremony alongside Twenty One Pilots, Keith Urban, Riley Green, Sombr and Teddy Swims.
Katseye has been nominated for the New Artist of the Year, Best Music Video and Breakthrough Pop Artist at the AMA this year, according to HYBE on Saturday.
Artists such as Alex Warren, Ella Langley, Leon Thomas, Olivia Dean and Sombr was nominated for the New Artist of the Year alongside Katseye.
The group's latest release, "Pinky Up," landed 28th on Billboard's Hot 100 chart on April 25 and entered 14th on Britain's Official Singles Chart Top 100 upon its release.
Katseye debuted in August 2024, following HYBE's global audition project "The Debut: Dream Academy" (2023). The girl group is set to drop its third EP, "Wild," on Aug. 14.
The 52nd American Music Awards will be broadcast on CBS and on Paramount+.
Boy band BTS was nominated for Artist of the Year alongside Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga. The band was also nominated for the Song of the Summer with "Swim."
The soundtrack for "KPop Demon Hunters" (2025) was nominated for the Best Soundtrack.
Boy bands Ateez, BTS, Enhypen, Stray Kids and Tomorrow X Together were nominated for the Best Male K-pop Artist award, while girl groups aespa, Blackpink, ILLIT, Le Sserafim and Twice were nominated for the Best Female K-pop artist award.
