The Netflix original web series “A Killer Paradox,” starring actors Choi Woo-shik and Son Suk-ku, will be released on Feb. 9, according to Netflix.
The thriller, based on the eponymous webtoon by Kkomabi, is about a man who accidentally becomes a serial killer and the detective who pursues him.
The protagonist, Lee Tang, played by Choi, is a university student who one day murders a serial killer and realizes his ability to identify evil people.
Investigating the killings is detective Jang Nan-gam, played by Son, who pursues Lee Tang’s case with intuition, instinct and determination but later grapples with dilemmas about crime and punishment.
The series will also star Lee Hee-jun as Song Chon, a former detective who begins investigating the slayings himself.
The series was directed by Lee Chang-hee, who has worked on the film “The Vanished” (2018) and OCN's thriller series “Hell Is Other People” (2019), which is also a webtoon adaptation. Screenwriter Kim Da-min wrote the series.
The original webtoon, which ran from July to September 2010, was awarded at the Korea Content Awards in 2011.
