Rookie band NEXZ to release first EP on Nov. 18
Rookie boy band NEXZ will release its first EP, "Nallina," on Nov. 18, its agency JYP Entertainment said on Monday.
The album title, a Korean phrase meaning "rock it," signifies “the group's confidence to shake up the mundane world,” according to the agency.
With its debut single "Ride the Vibe," released on May 20, NEXZ has topped both the domestic Hanteo Chart's albums chart and Japan's Recochoku daily chart. The group ranked second on both Billboard Japan's Hot Albums and Oricon's Weekly Album Ranking in August with its Japanese EP, "Ride the Vibe (Japanese Ver.) / Keep on Moving.”
NEXZ also held a showcase tour dubbed "Ride the Vibe," performing six shows in Fukuoka, Osaka and Tokyo in August.
NEXZ is a seven-member boy band with six Japanese members — Tomoya, Yu, Seita, Hyui, Haru and Yuki — and one Korean member, So Geon.
The group's name, "NEXZ," is an acronym for "Next Z(G)eneration," encapsulating “its ambition to lead the next era of music with its Gen Z members' unique music and performances,” according to JYP Entertainment.
