TVXQ to hold solo concerts at Incheon Inspire Arena
Boy band TVXQ’s solo concerts will be held at the soon-to-open Incheon Inspire Arena on Dec. 30 and 31, its agency SM Entertainment said Tuesday.
Inspire Arena is a new 15,000-seat multipurpose entertainment venue specialized for music performances. The exact opening date for the venue has not yet been decided as it is still under preparation, according to a facility insider.
The band announced on Nov. 2 that it will hold solo concerts, titled “20&2,” marking its 20th anniversary.
The concerts will be the band's first in over four years since March 2019.
Ticket sales will begin on Nov. 21 at 8 p.m. on Melon Ticket for the band’s fan club members. General ticket sales will open on Nov. 23 at 8 p.m.
TVXQ will drop its ninth full-length album on Dec. 26 before the concert. It also plans to open an exhibition for fans to celebrate its 20th year in the music industry.
TVXQ debuted in 2003 as a five-member boy band under SM Entertainment. The band started a new journey with its two remaining members, U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin, in 2009, after its three former members, Kim Jae-joong, Park Yoo-chun and Kim Jun-su, left SM Entertainment. The band is known for its hit songs including “Hug” (2003), “Rising Sun” (2005), “Mirotic” (2008), “Keep Your Head Down” (2011) and “The Chance of Love” (2018).
