Boy band TWS to drop new Japanese EP on Aug. 4

Boy band TWS [PLEDIS ENTERTAINMENT]

Boy band TWS will release its second Japanese EP “Soda Soda” on Aug. 4, its agency said Monday.

The new Japanese album comes less than a year after the group's Japanese debut single, “Nice to see you again” (2025), released last July. The new EP will feature three songs, including an all-new Japanese track, said Pledis Entertainment.

The boy band's Japanese debut single ranked No. 1 on Oricon's and Billboard Japan's weekly charts upon its release and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan after surpassing 250,000 in accumulated album sales in September 2025.

The band won New Artist of the Year (Asia) at the 40th Japan Gold Disc Awards in last March.

TWS will kick off its 15-show tour, titled “24/7:FOR:YOU,” at KSPO Dome in Songpa District, southern Seoul, on June 27 before heading to Japan for shows in Fukuoka, Hyogo and Kanagawa starting Aug. 28. The band will also perform at Japan's biggest music festival, Summer Sonic, from Aug. 14 to 16.

The sextet — Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon and Kyungmin — debuted in 2024 with the EP “Sparkling Blue” and has since released “Plot Twist” (2024), “If I’m S, Can You Be My N?” (2024) and “Countdown!” (2025).
