Girl group NMIXX to return with fifth EP 'Heavy Serenade' in May
Girl group NMIXX will return with its fifth EP, “Heavy Serenade,” on May 11, the sextet’s agency JYP Entertainment said Tuesday.
NMIXX’s new release comes more than six months after the release of its first full-length album, “Blue Valentine,” in October last year.
The first teaser dropped on Tuesday features a score-like format, where release dates of different teaser content are labeled throughout the score.
The tracklist of the EP will be released on April 22, followed by concept photo releases on April 24 and 25.
The music video for the prerelease track “Crescendo” will drop on April 28 at 6 p.m., while the lead track “Heavy Serenade” and the album will be released simultaneously on May 11.
NMIXX debuted in 2022 with its first single, “Ad Mare.” The group saw its biggest success with “Blue Valentine” and the album's lead track with the same name, with 10 music show trophies and No. 1 positions on Melon’s daily, weekly and monthly charts.
The group is currently on its “Episode 1: Zero Frontier” world tour, which began with performances at the Inspire Arena in Incheon last November. NMIXX has performed in Spain, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Britain, Canada and the United States so far and will be moving on to Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan starting in June.
